Laboratory Information Management System

LIMS addresses an organisations need to capture and report on test results. Information can be processed for both internal testing requirements and external customers. These results can then be compared against established acceptable limits and against organisational and legislative guidelines. Compliance reports provide information on how test results performed against test guidelines and limits.

  • Test data includes:
    • Test description.
    • Test result validation.
    • Test result limits allowing non-conforming results to be highlighted.
    • Test guidelines such as acceptable level established by EPA.
  • Entry of group or batch of test results:
    • A batch comprises the results for the particular group of tests.
    • Test results are versioned, thus building a history of results for a batch.
    • Batches can be nominated as internal, for the organisation, or external for customers.
    • When all results have been entered into a batch it can be completed. At this point a batch certificate for the customer can be generated. This certificate nominates whether results are within or outside guidelines linked against the test.
    • You are able to define for a customer how charging is to be applied.
