Palm Tree

The Tree Register manages the risk assessment, identification and rectification of risk associated with trees in public areas.

The system supports registration of trees and manages ongoing assessments to monitor maintenance requirements and to identify problems that require correction.  Trees are recorded in the system as an Asset, and extra details in relation to the tree are then recorded through the Tree Register and Assessment form.

The GPS location is used to map a tree’s location to identify characteristics and create feedback monitoring systems to ensure regular maintenance.

Data Collection

Tree specific information is collected and stored:

• Tree characteristics including species, classification.
• Location including GPS location.
• Tree.condition including details on canopy, branch, leaf and root system.
• Tree environment including soil type and local conditions.
• Defect types and location.
• Risk assessment and obstructions.
• Safe Useful Life Expectancy.
• External environment including landscape and related vegetation.
• Special factors.

The module is provided with a large amount of “seeded” data that may be edited or added to by the user.

Tree Evaluation

This information aids in identifying whether the soil or position of a tree is a risk, whether the tree is diseased, and grades the tree accordingly.

Once a tree has been evaluated and all details entered into the system, a monitoring program is initiated which raises work orders when maintenance or inspections and assessments are required.

Work Orders

Within the Tree Register, Work Orders can be adjusted to suit maintenance requirements:

• Work Orders can be automatically or manually generated.
• Tree maintenance requirements can be monitored on an ongoing basis.
• A permanent record of work history is maintained.

Costing

A complete history of costs is maintained with the Tree Register:

• Job costing for planned and emergency maintenance.
• Cost estimates for particular activities can be compared against actual, illustrating differences.
• Internal and External job charging is available to allow easy invoicing.
